Andy G0FTD worte re my HELIX programme :-

It was tried with the standard winxp that reports DOS 5.0 Andy. It worked
fine with that version which was good enough for me.

Any monitor that reports as a VGA will be accepted. The graphics are
set up for the bog standard 640 by 480 VGA screen. EGA monitors, or other
devices that report as EGA, (or anything else except VGA) are not accepted.
EGA has a 640 by 350 line screen for example

Thanks Andy, a lot of work and research went into producing it.

See comments above.

The comments re not working with some versions of xp are interesting
but I won't be changing the programme. The programme does a DOS version
check with some assembler code when it starts. The version number reported
was 5.0 when it was tried with xp. It's DOS 7.1 for win98 and 8.0 for
winme and win2k. I've got one of the latter on my windoze test box
...can't remember which. It worked fine on the test box.
