Hello Antenna builders

This is the first release of my programme HELIX.EXE on packet radio.
It is a design programme for axial mode helical antennas. It gives
dimensions for three different design methods. If you are an optimist
then you will believe the gain from the J.D.Kraus formula. If you believe
in computer models then you can believe in Dr Emerson's gain figures.
If you are a realist then the King/Wong gain figures should be believed.

It is a DOS programme that runs perfectly well in windoze.
It needs a VGA colour monitor because it operates in graphics mode.
It won't work with other types of monitor.
It needs DOS 4 or later. (Tested with DOS 4.0,6.0,7.10 and 8.0)
It also uses the maths co-processor, so you will need a 486 or better PC.
Help and information are contained within the programme...no separate DOC file.

The programme is freeware for Radio Amateurs.

As usual, there are no guarantees or warranties for this programme. Use it
at your own risk.
