Hello All.

Thank you for reading this posting concerning tips for the FT857-D in
setting up of the Rascal for an Echolink node

I assume you're using a Yeasu FT857-D.
Have you checked your volume and record controls for your sound card?
Also there's a level adjustment on the Rascal.
Do you need to make any menu adjustments on the FT857-D
Attached is the Echolink Troubleshooter utility. Good luck.

---------------------------------------------------------------
My sysop settings are:

RX Control

VOX
VOX Delay- 1000 ms
Anti Thump- 500 ms
Clr Freq Delay- 3000ms

TX Control

ASCI Serial
COM 1

Also, you can download and run the Echolink Troubleshooter at

http://www.echolink.org/el/troubleshooter.htm

I've used this before and it works very well in troubleshooting problems
and how to fix them.

Good luck.
