SCR522s were quite commonly used on 144 here, bought from disposals. The
832 was also quite common in VHF gear until replaced by the QQEO and QQVO
series of valves. The only time I used an 832 was in a tx on 288 mHz till
that band was taken from us. We never did get hold of the 220 meg band
used by the Americans.
