Well, my mousepad is somewhat inclined and the railways is
100 meters away. Sometimes it does that.

But worse, I run XP here and it happens sometimes , when
booting up , that the pointer hops randomly around the
screen. Touching off the various menus and even firing off
programmes. You still have some control , but it is mighty
irritating. I have never seen such like in Win 95/98.
Annother reset will usually cure the phenomenon.

How is that for "Creeping" ?
