I did forget to mention that our model aircraft RXs with an acorn valve
were self quenching super regens. The gain was enormous for one little
valve!


Later, I did build 'miniature' radios on lower frequencies with
transistors
in a super regen configuration. My friend's Tiger Moth was only limited by

visibility.

As I'm sure many will know, it is quite feasible to build a tuneable super
regen but, on lower frequencies, some kind of AFC would be a good idea.

anyone is confused. They are not 'reaction' sets.
