Has anyone built there own Variable Capacitors.
I am up for a bit of metal bashing !!
Is it worth the effort or is it better in the long run and pay through 
the nose and buy one.
The reason for asking is i am thinking of building a magnetic loop for 
80m or 160m and i know the caps need to be wide spaced to be able to take 
the power upto 100w.I also know they are expensive to buy.
