I've seen two responses to my Bull, where I used the term 'plonker', but
for some reason I haven't seen Dick VK3ABK's response to it, except
extracts within these responses.

I did not label anyone as a 'plonker'.

Rather than the explanation expertly given by Allen for the term (I've
seen similar on the web), thank you Allen, I prefer the one within the
following web page:-

http://www.answers.com/topic/only-fools-and-horses

That programme is where the word 'plonker' was first coined within the
English language, and I would suggest labelling someone as 'Trigger',
might be slightly worse.

There's plenty on Packet outside the UK that might do themselves a favour
and watch a few episodes, or indeed everything ever produced. They would
be well entertained, and would be likely to get a handle on British
humour.
