It's a subject we should all read as much about as possible before
committing to a particular line of reasoning, otherwise one may not be
taken seriously.

Not at all, I stuck to facts in my Bulletin. You'll not find anyone that
will agree with the suggestion that I get all emotional on Packet.

Also, if I felt you were a plonker, I'd have told you within an SP.

one.
I don't, but I did say that beards were irrelevant, and they still are,
along with placard waving.

You should not pay too much attention to television programmes (unless
produced by a University), or the news media, they are usually low on
science, and high on entertainment, catering for the lowest common
denominator within the population, and looking to turn a profit.

I think I did quote a couple of websites later in the thread to Andrew,
written and contributed to by Scientists, who aren't selling anything, and
have no political bent at all. I can only suggest you take a look too.

I fail to see the relevance of the book you have failed to reference,
despite your 26 years of using the scientific method, others may disagree.

I refer you back to the Climate Prediction website, where you'll read how
the scientific method is being applied by various University's, to the
development of a computer model that may eventually be able to predict
changes in climate between 2000 - 2100. As you rightly point out, the
model will be extremely complex, and requires the use of distributed
computing to run a series of experiments, maybe you could help?

I think Andrew is a well adjusted young man, for his age, completely wrong
about 'climate change' and 'global warming', but a refreshing read none
the less. I felt I had come up against faith, which is not something I
have an interest in at all. I have no agenda regarding faith, people are
entitled to believe what they like, but any scientist will tell you that
science and religion do not mix well, and it's not a can I wish to open on
Packet. I therefore withdrew from further comment within the thread.

The thing about knowledge is that when you've learned something you
realise that there is so much you still don't know about the subject. On
a personal level, rather than having little room for new knowledge,
despite a career in the NHS behind me, I am doing remarkably well on both
a Cisco CCNA Course, and undertaking a Science Degree with the Open
University. I plan to undertake a Degree in Computing too, so there's
plenty of room yet.

If you can give me any evidence that I have participated in either 'mild
rebuke' or 'insulting jibes' towards Andrew, then I'd appreciate this via
SP, but I think I did ask you not to tar all with the same brush in a
previous Bull, and believe this is not relevent to me.

I'm all for people thinking, and using reliable data, on this we appear to
agree.
