Unionism gone mad in West Australia with the union machine driven by trade
union officials who all seem to speak with a strong Scottish accent, not
the least of whom are called MacDonald and Ferguson!! Fact!!
It seems that the union grip on industry is rapidly breaking down. The
present Federal Government has an agenda which it will be able to put into
practice in July when the results of the last elections show up in the
Senate where the Labor Party and the minor parties seem to have lost
control for the first time for many years. This seems to be important now
that such strong competition is coming from countries with a low paid
workforce and no unions!
Much of the West Australian workforce now is subcontracting and the unions
seem to be losing their grip of the workplace.

time the drivers of trucks transporting supplies to a construction yard
could drive the vehicle with its load up to the gate ,whereafter ANOTHER
driver employed inside the yard had to take over ,moving the goods a few
100 metres to its destination and returning the empty truck to the gate
,before the 'outside the gate' driver could get his truck back.
