I agree it is pointless worrying about 10,000 years of storage.

Sometime in the next 100 to 1000 years it will be possible to safely shoot the
waste off to the sun.

So we should really only consider the next 1000 years at most.
Unless the greenies get upset about polluting the sun !  Hmmmmm
