The price differential between petrol and LPG here in Australia is
interesting. I have run almost exclusively on LPG for my last three cars,
all 4 litre Fords - weight 1.7 tonnes (quite a big car). When I travel to
Perth (distance 410 km - about 160 miles) it costs me about $25 to fill my
gas tank (66 litres) If I run on petrol it would cost me more than $50. I
do not notice any difference in power though the experts tell us that LPG
makes for a smoother engine performance with a loss of about 10% power,
not enough to be noticeable. The difference in cost IS noticeable.
