Funktioniert noch mit 0,7 V.
Die LEDs (Farben nicht mixen) können auch mit den Kathoden an + gelegt werden.
Die Stromaufnahme ist vom Widerstand abhängig, unabhängig von der Zahl der
LED. 1 kilo-Ohm ergeben ca 30 mA. Heller könnts mit einem niederohmigeren
Transistor werden, aber nicht viel.
Der Trafo war mal eine Drossel mit einem Ferritkern in Hantelform.
Die 40 Windungen für den Kollektor machten ihn halb voll, die Basiswindungen
ergaben die andere Hälfte, der Draht war dünner.

It works down to 0,7 V.
The LEDs (colors dont mix) may have a alternate connection to + with the
kathodes.
The used current is depending from the resistor, not from the number of the
LED (tested with 1 and 3). 1 kilo-Ohm let flow 30 mA. More light will give a
low-ohm-transistor, but not much.
The transformer was build of a choke coil with a ferrite core like dumb-bells
(thats was my Dictionary says |-| ). The 40 turns for the collector filled it
half, the other half was for the basis-turns, the wire was thinner.

The fly-back generator is not optimized, you can experiment with core, turns
and thickness of wire, or use a better transistor with more gain and more
current. Also with the resistor and capacitor. I found the items in a box
down in the dark of my work-bench.
I replaced 2 of 3 cells of my lantern, and now it can swim, i dont have to
dive to the ground to get back when it fall out of the boat...
