I have found that using a fibreglass marine hf whip works
well for me on hf, of course you need a tuner to make use
of this antenna, butt that is a small thing. I have heard
that there are marine hf antennas that are 60' in lenght, but
am not sure who makes them. Anyone out there know who makes
these? The one I use here is about 30 foot length, not sure of
the make, and to use it on 80 and 160 m I have added about 50'
of wire to the top of it. Using this antenna I can work all
stations that i can hear. I intend to add some more ground radials
to it this spring to improve the antenna performance on 80 and 160.
