Hi Paul and readers,

While I appreciate the tech bulls and the fact they can be found all over
the Internet I don't understand what sort of statement you're trying to
make.

You say we use the same "tools" on packet radio as the Internet, all
common knowledge for many years. Packet was based on Internet protocols
from the begining, so what? The bone of contention all along has been
misuse of the Internet block of IPs assigned to Amateur use, that is
favoring land line over radio when radio has worked very well from the
start.

So what if amprnet uses both radio and the Internet? Each has it's place
although I frown on mixing them, land line is NOT Amateur Radio. Just to
bring to your attention a problem with USBBS lately is that an alias
appears in the forwarding path statement. If one tries to reply using
p-mail a return path cannot be found, ampr.org addresses are invalid.
Then too one cannot reply to Yahoo using packet to begin with! This is
what I mean by abuse, in this case the network is cluttered with useless
messages.

There is a big difference between use and ABuse so I can't see your point
in telling us something we already know.
