antenna (antennas?)

Antennae.

My first HF Rx aerial was simple ancient stripped mains wiring roughly cut
to length for the frequency used. So old it had the green and red RUBBER
sleeving. The aerial feed was ordinary air-spaced TV cable. I had three
pairs of dipoles strung together with a common feed. It was hung in my
loft and it worked well considering the jerry build. I later Txed on VERY
low power to try it out when I eventually got my licence (That makes it
over 20 years ago) and the SWR was not bad at all! It is still up there.
So long as the power is low enough not be a problem, I was always willing
to use just about anything for an aerial. Wet string would do at a pinch!
