Hi Warren and interested.

Which was to be expected. Observation vs faith.

This will never end. It also reveals that reality and faith have
walked in different directions. The two worlds bite eachother but
may be 1 afterall, if one has total knowledge. The book of revalation,
if coming in action, also may be another reality than many assume.

I perhaps wrote down wrong english. Perhaps these people were
called the illuminated or illumini though I am sure history books
speak about "The Enlightenment Period". Anyway they wanted to
integrate science, discoveries with society and also more freedom.
This was not a philosophers group or movement. It very often meant
to get rid of old rituals, behaviour and other things that keeps
a person in shackles. The paintings throughout the ages give a very
good picture of what I mean. Eg Monet could not paint in Vermeers
time the impressionistic paintings he painted because it was not done.
But neither Mondriaan could not do that in van Gogh's time.
The periods of enlightenment very often came like a shockwave.
The last shockwave was in the 1960's, they are an example
of enlightenment. After such periods often a contra reaction
takes place. I have my doubts if the people are organised, but
some writers say they were, are. I would not know. The shock waves
come without warning and change society completely which makes them
very important. The enlightened come with new ideas, new words,
new art and are often non political. Politics very often integrated
the changes. Historians study these periods. Politics often had
no answer to the non political changes but often had no other
choice than to accept afterwards. The issues, changes are not always
the same in every wave. When you look at history, the enlightened
always have won, despite the contra movements. In many parts of the
world the enlightenment did not took place. Between the different
cultures it clashes. This sometimes means war. The enlightened
also wanted separation of religion and state, so there will be
no conflict between freedom and religious prescriptions.
Individual development is desired. Most people are not aware of it
that they are a product of a series of former enlightenment waves.

Don't worry, it is flat and therefore will stay up.
Don't believe all those guys who tell you it spins.

73's - Henry PA7KK.

N.B.
"Absolutely Free" is a good example of an enlightened cover. On it is
written: "You must buy this album now, TOP 40 will never, ever play it"
Despite they never played it, (contra movement) "music and image" like this
was bought by many, also the plastic people.
