Hi John, Peter (the meter reader) and all,

Peter wrote "Why don't U send an interesting bul?"
I guess he doesn't know you very well, eh John? (;->)

Anyway, he mentions an antenna for 145Mc which being fairly small and
once a few feet off the ground experiences very little ground influence,
taking an SWR measurement at the antenna feedpoint is easy and common,
even standard practice. Whenever one is resonated that's where the meter
MUST be for a proper reading so you can just take it from there. After
tuning it may be mounted wherever with little to no change whatsoever.

Playing around with the coax is an option I'll leave to the wire snipper
brigade, I just run the cable and I'm done with it. Maybe Peter never
heard of KISS (not to be confused with the packet file transfer protocol,
hi) which is something I firmly believe in, keep it simple, stupid. (;->)

Try to explain that principle to an electrical engineer and you're in for
an arguement... in Greek! (;->)
