In NZ , there was a modem (with software, dos) that was built in one of
two ways, either for use with a serial or parallel port. It has 2 I.C.'s
for parallel (MC14049UBCP & TCM3105NL) and to use a serial port, the
addition of another I.C. (AD232JN).

It was promoted as a semi-kit (I.C.'s & circuitboard, instruction sheets
& diagrams) The board has on it ZL MODEM, ZL1AI, ZL1TJA.

It was supplied with software (Poor Man's Packet). No longer available,
but Ahunt with NZART's website may turn up something.

I have the modem (not in use at present) but as I have 2 baycom modems,
this will be set aside as a spare (one Baycom is with my laptop for
portable (read holiday jaunts) operation. I built the modem for a ham who
is now SK.
Hope this is of some help,
