Hi All,

According to Warren,

I am not confused at all. I wonder where you got that idea from. Certainly
not from myself. Health problems have occurred and still do occur near to
power lines. More so than "average". There have been pieces done on this
subject in both the United States and the UK. Why do you think that the
Electricity board had a policy of NOT building power lines above housing
estates. Sadly, builders seemed to have less scruples and have built
houses underneath power lines.

We know that the two types of radiation are not the same. Who suggested
that they were. I never said that they were. Change your reading glasses
my good man. The situation regarding health problems occurring near power
lines has been acknowledged in the States long ago and is becoming more
widely known in the UK.

The clusters of health problems around nuclear sites is also well known
about although the reasons for them is argued.

Now you are just being silly. No-one suggested that two-headed frogs would
appear because of nuclear contamination. Your poor attempt humour is
misplaced here.

Studies done off the coast near Sellafield found many fish with
deformations which appeared to be attributable to the close proximity of
the power station. The high incidence of leukiama in children in such
areas was a highly debated political point some years ago. It certainly
seemed more than coincidence that many such areas had high clusters of
such health problems. No two-headed children, though they did make it
clear that working there might result in sterility.

I was under the impression that the Simsons was a children's programme.
Personally, I gave up watching cartoons some time ago.

People living under power lines or in close proximity to such areas seem
to be liable to health problems NOT so common farther away.

> Such knee jerk silliness may scare children and ignorant adults, but

How droll. Living close to power stations when they have problems such as
leaks must give great confidence to the inhabitants. Perhaps you believe
that radiation from such places is not harmful. With good cause, I do not.
