Hello all Inventors!

There will always be conflicting claims over who invented what! (Who did?)
But a recent bulletin from Patrick, DF3VI, To TECHNI Re^2: G0TEZ>.... has
suggested a test for a legitimate claim to fame. There have been many ideas
proposed that didn't get far for one reason or another, but were developed
further by more astute 'inventors'.

John Logie Baird and his electro-mechanical television is the favourite of
those close to the scene, but Vladimir Zworykin and his all electronic
system clearly had the advantage, and was essentially the forerunner of
modern television. Similarily, Thomas Edison developed some of his or other
inventors'ideas into a workable forerunner of modern equivalents. Many of
Edison's 'inventions' didn't get off the pages of his note-books or were
later developed by others who got the credit.

History is often what you make of it.
