Hi John and readers,

No, not at all. The plane that dropped Little Boy on Hiroshima was named
Enola Gay and the one that dropped Fat Man on Nagasaki was named Boxcar.
In all the pictures I have seen nothing was written on either bomb, but
that's not to say that nothing was written which was common practice and
still is.

BTW, a B-29 isn't all that big really, check one out at an air show,
still plenty of them around. While I'm not much of an aircraft buff I
find warplanes facinating, some of the prettiest man made birds ever
flown. Ironic how such fantastic craft on the cutting edge of technology
is nothing but a device for delivering death and destruction. Too bad
"they" don't put such things to better use!
