New program RXZCALC.exe
PARALLEL & SERIES EQUIVALENT CIRCUITS
====================================
For given frequency in MHz this calculating utility will tell you -
L uH which resonates with given C pF and vice-versa.
Reactances of L uH and C pF.
Z magnitude of R and L in series or in parallel.
Z magnitude of R and C in series or in parallel.
Angle of Z
R and L, and R and C, for given Z and angle, either series or
parallel connected.
The basic calculation is as follows - For given values of Rs and
Xs in series, the program calculates the equivalent values of Rp
and Xp in parallel, for a value of Z common to both circuits. Xs
and Xp can be entered either as ohms or in terms of L uH or C pF.
All input and output data is displayed on the screen as an
internally consistent group.
Input and output data is in a form which facilitates step-by-step
network analysis. For example it is easy to calculate the input
impedance of a Pi-L network for a given terminating impedance R+jX
and given L uH, C pF component values. It is necessary for the user
to know what he is doing and not get lost.
Best to begin with sketching a circuit diagram on paper showing
component values. Impedances at various points can then be recorded
to be used later to calculate currents and voltages from input
through to output terminals. Will provide a sound understanding of
how a particular network functions. No more arguments about which
configuration of antenna tuner has least loss.
Download RXZCALC in a few seconds from website below. Only 50
kilobytes. Not zipped up. Run immediately.
