The AY-5-1224 by General Instruments was such a chip. It provided either 
direct mutiplexed 7-segment LED drive or TTL-level BCD output.

The CT7002 by Cal-Tex provided only BCD outputs. The CT7001 being the more 
usual multiplexed 7-segment output. The CT7003 was for fluorescent/gas-
discharge type displays but I don't know whether it was 7-seg or BCD output.

I can't imagine either still being available though but I have some more 
info on them  here if you think it would be useful.

Other clock chips from that era were MK50250N, MK50253N and MK50254N from 
Mostek. The different numbers were for 50 or 60Hz and 12/24 hour display 
options.
