hi
Me and some friends are trying to buid a wireless tcp network.
We are thinking of alinco 605 and a baycom port modem.
However, i hear about modems capable of comunicating at almost 100k.
If this is so, could you tell me what this modems are and at what
frequencies they operate. (if you give a clue about radios it would be
nice).

Ok.

I'll have to check. I have a vague idea we're allowed SS anywhere in
the 2400MHz band.

Oh, ok, so they are a standalone machine?
Do they function as a router on an IP network ?
What is the nature of the communication between the transciever and
the PC ?

Thanks, I've read those.

That is a little difficult to answer. I'm not sure yet precisely
how the system is built. It doesn't seem likely that I'd be interested
in a serial port at that speed.

Unfortunately no. I'll wait :)
thanks
