I just found group of amprnet users who used
one of the machines of ripe.net to spool SMTP messages to.

Please don't do that. We are happy to provide
secondary nameserver service on a well-connected machine,
but SMTP was never asked and would not be approved.

You are endangering my case to management to run secondary
for ampr.org and the domain may lose a secondary nameserver
because of this.

Subject: Rules in your street

Hello folks,

I know this newsgroup might not be the best place for the following
questions, but I do not know the other place...

So, we are preparing our annual ham conference. Possibly there would
be some rules and regulation changes and I like to learn more about
the situation in your country/state/province/etc..

1. Is it a membership in your national ham radio union required to
regulate
your ham licence status, ham examinations etc.?

2. The same question but related to your local radio club;

3. Is it required in your country to register particularly ever
part in your shack, I mean if you have several radios. Also, is it
required to have some technical check of your station every n years
to prove your factory-made stuff works as its service manual says?

4. Who gives a licence to you? Your ham union or the government or both?
Is there some expire date after you must ask for the re-new papers?

5. If you are involved in a club, does your ham union count you
differently or the same as you are union's "direct" member? Also,
is there any special membership status for clubs in the union?

6. What are the main goals and duties of your ham radio union? (in
short)

7. How do you make a budget in your union (membership fees or..)?

I'd like to see your comments before the 8th of February (conference
day).

73 de Misko, YT7MPB@YU7APV.SRB.YUG.EU, the Secretary of YU7 union/S
