Hello,
I think there was talk of making a redhat rpm file of the various AX25
utilities. Has this been done yet, or to configure AX25 and use AX25 or
tcp/ip over AX25 do I need to use the whatever.tar.gz files?
I've just upgraded to the latest Redhat 4.0 Colgate, and would prefer
rpm's as they make upgrading much more straightforward. I now want to
configure Linux to run AX25, so a quick answer would save me some time.

In regard to my previous message.
If we are to change the software in the TNC's,etc. We ought to be rather
careful, Because most radio amateurs would have to upgrade the TNC S/Ware, We
have a EPROM programmer but how many hams do ??
But I suppose somebody could offer a copying service...
But once it's working I suppose Everybody will WANT to change just so they can
use the latest s/ware !!

I've just had word from Dave g8kbb that he will implement SLIP in his
X1J code, this will take him about 3 weeks he says. I have also asked
him if he would consider removing NETROM and adding PPP to the IP
router in his firmware and he said he would although this will take
him a little longer to code.

I have been reading all the responses with interest....
but......
I have my Windows NOS Program....
How would we 'connect' to the TNC to set up a slip session ?? or PPP or
whatever we choose.......
So we could then push TCP/IP Packets down using any standard tcpip programs..
??
