Subject: NOS for Windows !
Hi......
My Father runs a tcp/ip system (Currently running JNOS), I have started work
on a TCP/IP Program nearing 0.1 release version.
To Allow it to be also used for Radio Amateur use I am going to need to use
KISS to talk to the TNC's. Has anybody done or started or ?? A Driver for
Windows to allow me to push tcp/ip down a serial port using KISS ? or some
program examples/psuedo code ??
I would appreciate any help on the above, Perhaps soon we can all use a
Windows TCP/IP Program for Radio Amateurs !!

You need to write an NDIS driver to sit below the stack if you are using the
normal MS TCP/IP stacks. NDIS-2 for Windows and NDIS-3 for Win95 and WinNT.
The NDIS3 kit for writing device drivers should be on the MSDN CD's somewhere.

I sincerely hope not, but thats because I dont like windows ;) A windows
TCP/IP
will be nice, but I suspect you'll want to tune the TCP stack as well as just
write drivers for it.

Does anyone know what this is :
DEC 3100 Model PM20ACA ? It has a 17" monitor and keyboard with it.
I think it is some sort of network interface.
I would like to know what it is and what it is good for
Thanks Tom n1kio@gw.n1kio.ampr.org

It's a DEC workstation. It runs VMS or Ultrix (and possibly a version of
4.4BSD as well). It's about the performance of a 386dx40 or a low end
486. Not useful unless you have the licence for the OS as well as the
box.
