Subject: Dataradio TM96B on packet???
I have a pair of Dataradio TM96B's I would like to get working as a 9600 baud
packet link, preferably using Linux.
Is anybody using units like these on packet. They are a commercial unit,
radio and modem all in one. With 9 pin D type and BNC connector on the rear.
They operate near to the 70cm's band at present, single channel.
Thanks in advance,
Mike

> Unfortunally I am not able to succed with that while using PC100 card like.
GCU> I think thats understandable, considering the driver you are trying
GCU> is in my opinion the incorrect one.
> The attach command I use with JNOS in Polled mode is :
> attach scc 1 init 204 4 2 0 1 0 5 p|}15200
> and thus it is ok. While with INTACK mode I use :

GCU> This is a common problem thesedays, there are so many "Sorts" of
GCU> scc cards, many of these do not work in the same maner.
GCU> What i think you need is another driver for the pc100.
GCU> The scc driver included in *nos is the pe1chl for pa0hzp design
GCU> compatables. Maybe someone might know a trick to get it to work with
GCU> this driver, if not there is the pc100 driver which you can compile
GCU> into jnos, but its, as far as i know only for ax25.
GCU> I dont use jnos anymore, maybe its not included in recent versions,
GCU> this you will have to explore yourself. The following extract was
GCU> taken from the origanal documentation from pa0gri-nos version(s).
GCU> _________________________________________________________________
GCU> attach pc100 <ioaddress> <vector> ax25 <interface> <bufsize>
GCU> <speed>
GCU> ______________________________________________________________
GCU> Driver for the PACCOMM PC-100 (Zilog 8530) card. Only AX.25
GCU> operation is supported.
GCU> Or maybe even tfpcx would do the job,??? (just an idea).
> If not, what exactly is missing to PC100 card to realize a INTACK method
> driven compatible card?
> Is there anyone that can help me ?
> Thanks in advance.
GCU> Hope this helps. Regards Richard, 73. PA3GCU.
