Whilst not *strictly* related to this group, I thought I would mention it
here
for the IP/Packet/hardware hackers amongst us :-)
I have a QuicCam web page that I have recently got working. It is at
http://lurpac.lancs.ac.uk/g6phf/qcam.html or..
http://g0uje.ampr.org/g6phf/qcam.html for those 'Amprnet challenged' readers!
The picture is not too exciting at present, basically the camera is pointing
at a clock in my shack. Each minute a picture is taken of the clock (though it
may be pointing at other things) and this is stored on disk. Each 20 mins
a script at the above machine, located 5 miles from my house, runs and pulls
the image off my Linux box here (unixphf.ampr.org), this is transferred
over a 9600 rf link. The script (perl) then re-creates the web page with the
pictures that you see!
I've only borrowed the QuicCam, so not sure how long the page will last etc.
Is anybody else doing anything similar?

Mike

Very nice Mike,
some questions and suggestions:
Why are the last 4 pix differ in size from 6k to 9k?
Can I use a security camera instead of the QuicCam?
Would u mind to send me/us some blurb on how did u do it?
Why don't u include e pix taken by daylight, so some of us
on the other side of the pond could see ur house while
there is pitch dark over there? :)))
