Subject: snoop module for tcp/ip
Hello,
has anybody read the doc :
http://daedalus.cs.berkeley.edu
Under the title "Recent Publications" is listed a paper:
"Improving TCP/IP Performance over Wireless Networks"
It speaks about a new system 100% compatible with tcp/ip, based in
more "intelligente" routers that "snoop" the links and allows better
throughputs in radio channels (or in channels with big bit error rate).
It seems very interesting for ham radio tcp/ip networks !!
In the text, they say that snoop module already exists for bsd, and has
been tested with wavelan.
Could some gods (like Alan Cox, Phil Karn, etc... :-) give their opinion
in the list. That should be very nice to see it ported in nos or linux
systems, and test it in our slow radio networks !!!
