I was happy to trade a TinkTrak for a second Pic-E a few months ago. As
cool as the TinyTrak is, I'd rather have something where the source is
available. One of these months (RSN) I'll get around to adding Smart
Beaconing and control of the power lead to the GPS.

This will keep my car ON THE AIR until I get a next generation system
running with a Linux or at least NosAPRS on the HP95 or HP100 palmtops.

PS. Yes - I know about SOTT. Having two units of the same kind is better
then having two different trackers.

Kudo's to AMSAT for going with Paypal...

A small step in the right direction. Hopefully it generates
a good boost in donations and support.

So what's the best way to really make a difference and build some
support for standard pacter operation on future projects? There's
got to be some way that's better then campaining on the amsat
mailing lists. Maybe a separate fund raising project to support
EAGLE but doing it in name of APRS?

When I do that, it still doesn't seem to want to redraw anything but the
weather stations. I'll keep playing with it. I usually leave it in all
stations mode anyhow. 73. Keith.

Subject: High-altitude balloon flight in progress - need add'l Igates

Pete Sias, WB0DRL, launched a high-altitude balloon this morning from
Salina, KS. The balloon is beaconing on 144.34 with callsign WB0DRL-11.

At the moment, the balloon has stopped climing, and is now floating at
about 112,000 ft. It is about 40 miles SSE of Emporia KS and is moving
east at about 45 miles per hour.

Eventually the balloon should burst, but it may take a few hours. We may
need additional I-gate coverage in southern MO so that we're assured of
having good data on the eventual descent. If there is an I-gate in
southern MO interested in switching to 144.34 this afternoon, it would be
much appreciated. Several stations in Kansas and my own in Bellevue NE is
on 144.34 now, but we'll lose him quickly during the descent.

Interested parties can track on FindU at

Hi,

What's the trick to send the filter options to the servers?

After connecting to aprswest.net:14580 I am not able to sent a msg to
SERVER with filter t/n or b/callsign

Apparently I am missing the appropriate reading material, :-)

The balloon burst a short time ago and is about 50 miles S of Kansas City.
Travel from this point should be towards Joplin MO.

Robbieeee!

You can use either SERVER or APRSWEST.

You are missing the word filter.

<g> Try: filter t/n b/callsign
