I would have checked all the nearby trash cans. These guys know what they
can fence, and they chuck the rest.
Some throw your bag into the nearest trash can, and then come back later,
or after watching you drive off.

Andrew, I'm not certain what you are asking, since Jon and I both sent a
reasonable example.. Do you want a full program?
Try this...
#!/usr/bin/perl -w
while(<>){
m/^(\w+)>(\w+),([\w,]+):(\w+)/;
print "$1\n$2\n$3\n$4\n";
}

I have used and can heartily recommend the Eagle CAD package for doing your
own boards. They have a freeware version that is very capable and only
limits you to two board layers and a 4" x 3.2" board area. For $125, a
hobbyist can purchase a non-commercial license that takes you up to 4
layers, large board area and unlimited schematic pages. Check it out at
http://www.cadsoftusa.com.
I have used PCB Express and Custom PCB in Malaysia for my boards. Custom
PCB was cheaper but had a much longer lead time. They also do SMOBC on
their prototype boards which is a nice feature. It makes the board much
easier to hand solder.
Good luck!

I use Eagle PCB's freeware version currently for all of my schematics and
layouts. I was just looking at the price list last night, but completely
missed the non-profit version. I don't have much need for 4-layer boards,
but the larger area would be nice.

For PCB designs I use ARES Lite from Labcenter Electronics
(www.labcenter.co.uk) which costs $35 to register. Add another $10-15 if
you want Gerber output. It's pretty powerful considering it's a lite
version of a professional package. It even has a single pass
autorouter. The only pro feature I wish it had is the netlist import from
the schematic design software that's included.
I've used Olemix in Bulgaria (http://www.olimex.com/pcb/index.html) to make
PCBs. Their basic board is either SS or DS with solder masked and silk
screening. They will panelize for free. I've done orders of one or two
boards, so I haven't had a big enough order for a volume discount. You
would have to check their website for volume pricing.
BTW, if you use "standard" shipping by postal mail, it takes about 3 1/2
weeks from order acceptance until they're delivered.

Are the IP's and port numbers publiclly available for US APRS servers. I
understand there are many, but for say the main servers: first.aprs.net,
second.aprs.net and/or third.aprs.net and corresponding port numbers for
feeding data in?
Thankx,
