I'd be interested to know how well you get on David as I built part of that
Flexnet node many years back. So long ago that I'd forgotten about it!

We had a pig of a job commissioning the 2400 baud link into it. The RMNC
Flexnet node replaced some TNC2s at the BBS site and the link from VT92 had
been running at 2400baud for some time. Modifying a TCM3105 modem from 1200
to 2400 is trivial and so a few of us were rather depressed when we
couldn't get the RMNC node to talk to VT92.

The modem circuit is almost the same as the TNC2 so it not working didn't
make sense as a listening test sounded the same from the RMNC as the TNC2.
It wasn't the radio, as that had been working for a while.

In the end another RMNC 1200baud card was modded for 2400 and that just
worked. I never did find out the problem. I'd soldered the TCM3105 into the
board and couldn't be bothered unsoldering it to try another chip. Funny
though, the card that didn't want to work at 2400, works fine business at
1200.

I've got some 9k6 mods for a T196 if you want them somewhere.

Now does GB7SAM still work... click, click and a quick 'u *' and...
...oh yes, there you are in the MH list Pete, 6hrs 17mins ago!
