Understanding timing parameters is of utmost importance.

If your tx frames are being rejected by your local node/bbs then perhaps
you need to have a little more tx delay for the squelch to open at the
other end. Try listening to YOUR signal and see how it sounds.

I'm afraid your going to have to develop a VERY keen ear to recognise the
tones in transmit :-) After years of practice and being a packet anorak
you do eventually (sadly, I admit to being one!).

Or better still, use a digital storage style 'scope and monitor the gaps
between your tx and the other station, making sure there's a gap there
and there are no frame collsions.
