Dear reader,
As from August 16th old radio transmissions of Radio Veronica can be heard on
this 20 kW transmitter in Heinenoord just south of Rotterdam. On August 31st
2004 the closing down of Radio Veronica from the radiovessel Norderney is 30
yaers ago. To remember this fact special programms will be made during the
coming two and a half weeks.
From August 28th till August 31st the programm comes from Hotel Lapershoek in
Hilversum, the building where the land based studio's of Radio Veronica were
in the late 60's and early 70's of the past century. During these days old
programmmakers will be there. Responsible for this event is Stichting
Norderney.
Transmissions can be heard in a great part of the Netherlands, north and west
Belgium and eastern parts of England.
At this moment, monday august 16th 12.30, nonstop golden oldies are heard
since the early morning.
