Dear broadcastlisteners,
As from June 1st 2003 a number of frequencies on mediumwave is sold. For a
period of 8 years these frequencies are in use by several commercial
radiostations.
Also several VHF-FM frequencies are sold for a period of 8 years. Reception
outside the Netherlands is hardly possible while the antenna's are directed.
I know that Radio 10 on 675 kHz had several listeners outside the Netherlands.
It is sad for them that Radio 10 didn't get any frequency. This station wil
remain active on cable and satellite. They will fight the decission made on
may 26nd 2003 by the authorities. They asked for a VHF-FM network so they
didn't plan continuing the AM transmissions after may 31st 2003.
