I should like to make clear this fact, having greater spreading in Russia.
On frequency from 2,5 to 3,5 MHZ conduct QSO Russian radio-pirates, in Russia
their name usually - "radio-ruffians". You may hear them in AM and in USB
sometimes. Many from they use old army transceivers, but be and amateurs-
constructors, making equipment by their own hands. "Radio-Ruffians" all like
to work in airwaves with maximum power - in this best savor! "Cover",
"suppress" its signal of comrade-signal - in this COOL! :-)
All this product of socialism, in that time difficult was get an official
permit - only check in KGB occupied near 1 year, but in the same way much
other formalities... Many HAM`s in past began its hobby on illegal range
3 MHz-band. Basically have stayed operators at an age more than 40 years-old,
which the whole its life so and have stayed faithfull its illegal hobby.
At our days for young radio operators be CB-band, than that reminiscent that
"old good" Average Waves ;-)
Good luck! 73! Alex RZ3FH
