Maybe we get a different Radio Iran in EU but the one I've listened to,
especially during the last Gulf War, didn,t play any kind of music and had
nothing nice to say about Americans, even though they were officially on
our side
I was a bit surprised as, I thought they were part of our 'Coalition'.
Maybe, it's just that they were against Israelis, I don't know.
The stream of anti western propaganda got very boring so I went back to
listening to other stations.
It might surprise US SWLs but the station which does say nice things about
the States is VOR.
To find them. Go to www.vor.ru and email letters@vor.ru.
Other surprising stationsm very pro western, include Radio Andes.
I don't know where it is but the name would inficate where it is, plus the
very good take off of course.
I'm not taking sides here. I just believe in listening to the English
sevices of other SWL stations, around the world.
While some stations like VOA,RFE etc., are very predictable. Some come as a
surprise.
I can't give frquencies as they vary with place and time but most can be
found with a broesede.
I listen to VOR, after 02:00 GMT. Beamed at North America bit very reliable
in the UK.
Good listening. Ian.
