Hi Mel and all,
I'm honest, even when wrong (;->) but that's me. I'm NO diplomat and will
never use the mealy mouthed language of a diplomat. As they say in the
West, I'm a straight shooter, or if you prefer I shoot from the hip. I
will never mince words, I tell it just like it is, plain and simple.
Bluntly maybe, but simple enough for a child to reason with.
"Let him who has ears hear." works well enough, needs no diplomacy.
Famous orators all throughout history spoke plainly and simply, they
weren't interested in diplomacy, they were epistolaries. An epistle is a
message in plain language, Jesus was no diplomat but a simple messenger
of truth. OK, that got him in constant trouble and eventually killed. The
man died but his MESSAGE lives FOREVER. Not religion, TRUTH, there were
many like him and from whatever mouth it comes, TRUTH LIVES FOREVER,
diplomacy dies within hours.
NO! Don't worship me, I'm no god, worship TRUTH and HONESTY for they are
FROM God, gifts to Man.
OK, enough of this mutual admiration society, ON WIYH THE SHOW.
As many times as I have mentioned it, no one has mentioned reception
reports of WBCQ on 7415, and I have never heard reports from Europe from
ANY source. Now, I'm a bit curious how well or if one of my favorites is
heard there. They beam southwest from ME, so I'm REALLY curious if
signals are heard there. There may be QRM from VOA on the same frequency,
but you'll know the difference immediately.
The weekday format is bland, largely pseudo religious nonsense (personal
opinion) but the weekends ROCK. Not only is the music great, but the
overall material will have you in stitches, "funny" somehow falls short.
It's a one time pirate gone legal (the FCC actively encorages this) and
the programming reflects this. They broadcast other one time pirates as
programs, the result is a cross section of the glory days of pirate
broadcasting and is guaranteed to hold the interest of all besides the
old stick in the mud fuddy duddies.
Hopefully this will promote some interest in at least listening FOR the
station if not TO it, so I'm looking forward to hearing from you SWLs out
there. I have no personal interest in the station other than listening
and make no endorsement otherwise.
I'm listening right now which may be a bit late for those in Europe, but
a dedicated SWL never sleeps. (;->)
