Greetings !
I have a mint condition yet old Standard C558 handheld which appears
to have developed a problem on AM rx.
The radio shows a permanent signal of S5 on the LCD meter and the
noise floor seems very quiet.
Has anyone had experience of such faults on these old rigs ?
Here in the UK there are no Standard dealers left, and I think
Standard have merged with Yaesu or something.
I hate working on handhelds so it would be nice if anyone has
experience of these old radio's and save me a few headaches.
