Hi everyone in packetland,
I want to thank you all who responded to the touchy subject of 7plus and
attendant problems I had during the time I sent out the original series of
the cardgame. I thank those who responded positively, both via SB & SP,
from VK to G.
It can be an embarrasing moment (read week) when the system that was
generally so reliable, suddenly goes belly-up, pear-shaped, or whatever
for no apparent reason.
The responses I received in the possible cures for the problem was very
much appreciated, although they didn't have the restorative value that I
urgently needed to resolve the problem, although the cause for this was
pointed out in a bulletin I got, and the suggested action did restore the
system to operational status, and much relief to myself.
It was nice to get the info regarding PC Altzheimers with regard to AGW
& the "leaking memory," which would explain why periodacally I would have
to close Winpack 7/or AGW, & even restart Windows. (& here I was blaming
Billy G., although I think it does contribute to it)
The helpful nature of this "brotherhood" does outweigh the negative
minority, and has restored my belief in this hobby overall still being in
a healthy helpful state, despite what the doomsayers woul have us believe.
LONG LIVE AMATEUR RADIO!!!!
Thank you all again, and I hope those that have played the game
(in whatever way you want to take it), enjoy it without getting too
addicted to it.
Let's face it, it's a machine and it's man-made. End of story.
As I saw on an episode of "Monk" (a US detective series)
"Suck it up!" (Get over it)
