Hi Steve and gamers,

I didn't have home versions, but I had easy access to evey classic game that
came down the pike starting with Pong and Asteroids. I worked for a
"distributor" as companies that put arcade games and pinballs in "locations"
are called in the biz. Cleaning out the shop I took home boards for Pong and
Asteroids, a 30A 5V regulated supply needed for power hungry TTL logic and a
test box to operate them. I put everything but the box on the end of a long
cable in an old 19in B&W TV, hooked up the audio and video, and had what you
could call a hybrid, part arcade upright and part home version.

The list of games I liked to play is way to long for here, I played evey one
in my spare time at work. The plant manager was a friend to begin with, he
didn't mind. He'd come along and ask the obvious "What are you doing?" with a
smile, I told him I was testing it to make sure it's 100% before it goes out.
"Just don't take too long testing it." he said and walked away. In a few
minutes I was back in the tech shop. I had a few favorites, but I can
remember only one name by word association, The Wizard of Wor. I remember it
because I was a fan of Shep whose quote appears below.

"New Jersey, the most American of all states. It has everything from
wilderness to the Mafia. All the great things and all the worst,
like Route 22."
