Justlisten to the news and you will hear than NATO is full of QUANGOs.
They usually drop the QU = Quasi or Quasi Autonomous and call them NGOs.
The first one which jumps to mind is the Blackwater Group, used in both
Iraq and Afghanistan so as to give plausible deniability to the Americans
when something nasty has to be done.
And how about the IMF ? Started back in the depression to help out the
suffering countries but now used by Washington to try to destroy the Euro,
among other things.
Perhaps they think the man in the street is stupid but, maybe that only
plays to the home crowd, Even if the average Englishman in the street is
not very bright, he still has TV to tell him about these things, in
between games of football, the opium of the masses.
In comparison to those, our groups like OFCOM and EHRC which only censor
us seem quite mild.
