" As long as we're on the subject of "indiginous" people and you mentioned
Chippewa, where did the "Native Americans" (they really don't mind being
called Indians) come from? So called scientists say they came across from
Asia during the Ice Age when se level was lower but here's the paradox in
two parts. How did they survive crossing such a vast frozen wilderness?
Why don't they look like Mongolians? Add the kicker, why do the nations
(Chippewa, Delaware, Apache, Sioux, etc.) look different? "
Here's a thought on ethnic differences which I have had for a long time
now
prompted by some old TV programmes.
The 'Indians' all the way from the south of South America, right up
through the Americas and past the arctic circle as well as parts of
Polynesia, are characterised by a lack of body hair. No beards, underarm
or lower hair.
This makes the theories about populations moving between continents a bit
suspect. I still notice this when Americans pretend to be 'Native
Americans' yet have beards and 'taches yet Sitting Bull and Geronimo never
needed a razor - strange ?
It's almost as if there are two main races, the hairy and the hairless,
spread around the planet. If you forget skin colour, this is the one big
difference. Another thing I have noticed is that, in men, there might be
no facial hair but I've never seen a bald Injun - honest.
