Sorry readers Warren is referring to his graphic ...known only
to him....

In my trips to their festivals and gatherings, which are in the
USA and CANADA, I have never heard them refer to themselves as
"Indians" As they are not from India, but have their nation
be it , here "Chippewas" or "Shawnee" and in the treaty areas
or land owned by the various bands, I never see the sign...you
mention, but as local to me "Chippewas of Georgina Island" etc
BUT ....
The Europeans still call them Indians, and the Government of the
Europeans in their lands, have departments with the same name.

I guess there are some who have been successfully brainwashed
to accept the Indian tag...but not those who form a majority,
and certainly not at the International and National Gatherings.

Why would they call themselves "Native Americans" after some
Italian European explorer?

Or manybe they sailed across, or perhaps climate was different in
those days, and also the floting plates of the continents were
closer to allow for this .... The main point for these people
is they got to the continent where we live.

> Why don't they look like Mongolians? Add the kicker, why do the nations

Why do the Inuit look different from the Cree? I don't know, but
then was this migration before or after the Mongol Empires of the past?
Ever heard of Inter racial contact ...I leave it to the experts.

Are the Sioux the same as Lakota? Shawnee Plains? Ooops same group
Who do the Apache take after, and their linage? Aztec? Tapai?
Carib? Did migration start at the top Pole and go to the south
or from the south...why the differents? One uses arrows the other
the blowpipe? In viewing and meeting these peoples ,here I find
resemblance in some way in all of them, from peoples of the Inca
to meeting cree with same features.

Not into the global warming topic, so I leave you and other to fertize
and come up with the answers.

One of the best articles on the nations here before the Europeans
arrived, showed me that the NAZIS had nothing on the estimates
they put as a REAL GENOCIDE..... Holocast my butt.... nothing
touches the murders here ...all for money, land and whatever.

Still goes on ... that is what makes it even sadder.

The Canadian National anthem...Oh CANADA Our home and native land
I usual sing, as Oh Canada ...your home on native land. See it
in the news. Also see settlements of claims 100 years old.

When my father died...it was the Chippewa nation ...our neighbours
who came to comfort my mother and our family, and try to give us
some guide. When my mother died...the same. The Chippewa
Nation also made the local Canandian Legion aware, or did it
anyhow, during a War Memorial weekend....by placing a torch
of rememberance for my parents for their activities in the war.

All this, despite I am a white English-Scot Yorkshireman.

I am going to leave at this point, because, I have just come
back from the vet where I had to put Maria's cat to sleep
due to a neighbour's dog...jumping the fence and mauling it.
< No description of the terror on the cat> They know
their dog is a banned type,. and must be restrained and
well the cat is dead....Our other cat, I found with a rip
in it's neck, not too bad a few days ago... patched her up
BUT... well sorry for changing the tangent a bit...but
thats it....on my native neighbours,,,some are European
in decent...born here...ok..they are native Canadians
but there is also another nation that does not want to be
and they are proudly the Chippewas of Georgina Island and
I think part of a bigger group, but perhaps another time.
