People leave for the silliest of reasons largely out of ignorance.
English coming to America don't go from frying pan to fire but only to a
somewhat cooler frying pan. Class snobbery? Mister, ya ain't seen nuttin
yet! Starvation wages? We gottem! PC? You won't get arrested but you
might get beat up, at the very least you'll get eye daggers. Now we have
TWO N words, as Bob found out the other one is negro. Yeah, I said it,
