Hi Pete, Snoopy and all,
Kinks, Dedicated Follower Of Fashion, the fashion these days is snooping
(not the dog) on "persons of interest". I never did figure out what made
me so interesting, they never did fid out what sort of work I did for the
Pacifica Foundation so it must have been the antennas. My eagle sat upon
a peace symbol, if I were a bit more creative I could have pissed off a
lot of Marines but no, I have great respect for servicemen regardless of
what I may think of their Commander in Chief.
Oh please, if I hadn't lost what I collected over the years and sold it
today I'd be living in Ham Heaven, a radio mansion surrounded by antennas
that would make the VOA jealous. The boat was just one thing, original
never released recordings, various collector's items and some electronic
bits that today you can't find for love or money, I've gone through
enough junque to fill a warehouse.
Yup, we sure got stereotyped as kids but funny thing, kids don't think in
terms of race, nationality, religion or any of the things they do when
they grow up. We were just kids playing war in a vacant lot, we never
thought about the reality of it, to us Combat was just Vic Morrow as a
big kid with better Army gear than we had. Here at the shore kids
probably played Rat Patrol out in the dunes, I wonder what they did for
Jeeps armed with twin .50s. Then we all grew up and did it for real, it's
no fun when they shoot back... everything changed forever. Oh, for those
who don't know, I grew up farther inland where foxholes are much harder
to dig.
I don't know about Brazil Day or why you spelled it that way (;->) but in
New York Puerto Rican Day is a bigger party than the Irish ever came up
with, more food, less beer. Eh, save a copy of the ascii Brasil and let
Maria have at the corrections, watching her cuss and fuss should be a
blast. I say that because my first attempts were SO frustrating as one
false keystroke and everything goes out of alignment. It gets worse if
you try to post one on a site that uses PhBB or similar software,
everything gets squashed to the left, fixed width it's not.
I hate to say it but after several hours of searching I still couldn't
find Alice Cooper but a few new items will be showing up frpm time to
time... "Righteo, ha ha ha ha ha!"
