Hi Pete and dedicated followers of fashion,
Kinks, we gottem! No, the wooden model of the Yamato is lost to time and
you're right about way back when, it was old when I was young. i DON'T
remember (darn caps lock) too much about it but it dates back to WW2
Japan having been made there actually, Mitsubishi electric motors and
all. It was a classic being Yamato, named for the original name of the
island archepelego and the largest warship ever built.
Yeah, in the postwar period we kids sure got tagged, the Chinese kid up
the block was lucky he didn't get drafted by the Japanese forces, an army
of one? Well, we only had two Germans and guess which one went to war
with a Colt .45 in one hand, a Winchester .30 in the other and a
"pineapple" grenade on his belt. If you said the Lone Ranger, quien no
sabe?
Well I'll put it this way, if Maria has issues with Brasil she can always
sit down at the computer and redraw it to her liking. I don't know why
the top is all scrunched up, I didn't do it, just pasted it out in a
pinch. Eh, could be South America, could be Africa, maybe that's why it
says BRASIL smack dab in the middle? Anyway, once satisfied with it maybe
she will use it as a tag on YL, that's what came to mind when I came
across it. Oh and no, I don't want to tangle with a Latino, we have a
really LARGE PR here who would squash me but I wouldn't mind tangling
with one of the Latinas in the neighborhood... yummy.
OK, back to the game you go while I listen to the National Guard playing
games of their own with an Apache. Yup, the local fuzz aren't all I
listen to on the radio, there are far more interesting things than wolf
tickets and meat wagon runs.
