Hello OM,
My brother got a SONY KV-X 2521 D tv.Suddenly the picture dissapeared
but the audio is still ok.When we opend the set a resistor is burned
in the neighberhood of the flyback transformer.The value can't be read
anymore.It's resistor R807.I did some measurments and I think the high
voltage is presant but the picture tube is pinched off.I remember that
someone said that in that case you have a g2 fault.But I can't find
something else defect than the resistor.Can someone tell me the value of
this resistor and perhaps what else that could be faulty?
At one side of the resistor i could see sparks when i touched it with
one pen of my multi-meter,So i think i can expect a high voltage there and i
didn't measure the voltage.
